The mark is subdivided into 100 items - pfeninga.

 

The Bosnia and Herzegovina convertible mark was introduced in 1995 as a result of the Dayton Agreements and replaced the old dinar, the Croatian kuna and the Serbian dinar.

 

Coins in circulation are in denominations of 5, 10, 20 and 50 pfeninga, and of 1, 2 and 5 marks.

 

Banknotes have nominal values of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 marks.
